The North Plainfield Police Department has an opening for a full-time Parking Enforcement Officer.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Foot patrol of the downtown district
• Issue summons and or warnings to bring compliance with the parking laws.
• Assist in the repair of the meters and other equipment as needed.
• Assist with the collection of the meter money.
• Other administrative duties needed to assist traffic safety.
The compensation for this position is up to $25.00 per hour, and uniform allowance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Over 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• No criminal convictions.
• Must be available to work weekdays & weekends and be able to adjust hours to suit the needs of the department.
